Hope you are having a blessed January! Just a few notes this week:
1. If you have a student in the Research Paper class, they'll receive their first week of assignments this week. Online students can pick up their assignments on the forum. There are still openings in this course both online and locally in class if you know of anyone who might be interested.
2. Tomorrow, we will have our last Public Speaking class and the students will be giving their Apologetic speeches. This is an open presentation meaning that if you would like to bring your children to see the speeches, you can join us at Stono Baptist in the sanctuary at 12:30 pm. Please do not arrive late and enter the sanctuary unless we are between speakers. I will miss my Public Speakers...they've been a delight!
3. Mid-terms are next week for American Lit, World Lit and World History. If you have students in these classes, please make sure they have time to study and get adequate rest the night before. Mid-term reports will come out for all students by the end of January. Parents and students will receive them via email.
4. If you'd like to conference with me about your child's mid-term or other issues, please keep in mind that I teach from 9 am to 3:30 pm every Wednesday, with only a half hour for lunch. It's not a good time for me to meet unless you want to arrive before classes start for the day or after all classes are over. I can meet with you other times or we can conference by phone.
I think that covers it for this week! Many thanks to those of you who read this blog regularly and stay on top of class happenings.
Have a wonderful week!
God bless,
